Qigong Circle Canada

Established in 2001 Qigong Circle Canada is dedicated to promoting therapeutic movement arts and techniques that encourage  health, healing and harmony of body, mind and spirit through holistic health care services for the prevention of pain and health maintenance.

A short form tai chi combined with qigong // 8:30pm Students will practice Qigong styles learnd from previously attended workshops.

Sunday Feb. 20th 1-3pm  $85.00 includes 2 extra classes Monday evenings starting at 8:30pm for students who had attended at least one workshop.

World Taichi and QiGong Day - Saturday April 30th 10am at Beams of Light  This annual gathering crossing boundaries of nations and religions. All are welcome to particpate free of Charge to bring global awareness to these practices.

 Bio: Bas Opdenkelder, Sifu/Guru/Teacher acquired interest in martial arts and starting receiving instruction in his native homeland of Holland at a very young age. He moved from learning judo to learn kyokashinkai Karate from Master Tom de Wit while still living in Holland. He later studied and began to teach the ancient martial art of Pentjak Silat - an ancient Chinese Indonesian fighting art. He then moved on to learn Tai Chi and Qigong. 

After moving to Canada, Bas received his general instructors training certificate from the accomplished Grand Master Weizhao Wu who had sixty years of expertise in his understanding and knowledge of the practice of qigong, tai chi and Wushu (martial art) Master Wu had trained over 30,000 people in China, Canada and the U.S. before his death.

Bas continues his studies with Master Teresa Yeung at the Wu and Yeung Qigong Wellness Institute where he is a a senior Qi Gong instructor and furhter advances his knowledge by attending workshops and retreats in the U.S. and Europe. Currently, Bas generously donates his time to the Wellwood Center at Henderson Hospital teaching cancer patients to live with their health challenges and recovery by utilizing these healing and powerful ancient practices.  Bas is available for private energy healings and acupressure treatments.
